At present we are reviewing our EW mission statement, vision and goals. These statements should then give direction for our CEO’s KPl’s and also give us a better understanding as to the way we define our core business.
Existing EW Vision: An engaged community, a healthy environment
Waikato District’ s: To develop the Waikato District into an even better place for living, working, investing and visiting.
Perhaps a governmental vision: Preserve and enhance community for a healthy and well functioning society
My view: To balance community aspirations with environmental effects
Existing EW Mission: We work with communities to develop ways ofliving that will sustain our region for generations to come.
My view: To sustainably manage our environment thus enabling the community to achieve their wellbeings.
My view on a governance role as pertaining to EW
- Councillor’s responsibilities are to represent our community, set policy along with monitoring and review.
- Decisions will be made with the best information available around the four wellbeings, (environment, economic social and cultural)
