If it ends up with only one or two damaged, I’d put it down to random vandalism. But if we find that several have been attacked in the same way you could only come to the conclusion that it was vindictive and deliberate. Then if it appears to be deliberate, the chief culprits could be the opposition, someone or some group opposed to our views.
A vandalised corflute does not look good and we will replace it. It is certainly inconvenient.
But this behaviour could possibly backfire. A passer-by’s attention would be drawn to the sign, that person may have several thoughts, one might be that whoever did this would certainly not get my vote for the set of extremist values and attitudes demonstrated.
So watch out those who vandalise, your reputation is at stake.
